I’m just a geek girl who codes wearing stilletos (I wish).  I go crazy about code, new media, product management, pilates, yoga, yogurt, gelato…

I also have an obsession in learning languages (talking about human ones here). I am fluent in Filipino and English, but if you ask me which one is my mother tongue, I will not be able to give an answer. I also speak Spanish well enough that I can survive if you drop me in the middle of a Peruvian market without a dictionary (charades, anyone?). I’ve also dabbled in Korean, Japanese, French, Mandarin, and Arabic (yes, I had no life in high school), but now, I really don’t have as much time since I spend most of my time talking to computers, or other humans about said computers.

I also speak C, C#, Java, JavaScript, PHP, XHTML, CSS, XML, and XSLT. Binary? Only on occasion. Burberry? Only when I can afford it. Please connect with me through Twitter, Google+, LinkeIn, and Pinterest! (See side bar.) And if you can find me in Facebook, I’ll write a post just for you.

Here are a few of my other projects…

American(a) Neweva, a new blog + nonprofit that seeks to empower the next generation of minority women.

  1. Help! I’m not a tecchie at all, but I’ve launched a website using membership software. I am desperate to learn the BASIC CONCEPTS of website structure so that I can speak intelligently with my programmer. (I am a former professor, and I HATE not knowing what’s going on.) Are there any online classes for someone like me who wants to understand what’s going on but not actually do it? Thank you so much. Ann
